About Me
Professional Experience
Senior Instructional Designer, Booz Allen Hamilton | 2023 – Present
As a lead instructional designer supporting the Marine Corps, I’ve designed high-stakes training solutions, led curriculum evaluation initiatives, and built faculty development programs that directly impact mission readiness. Working with Booz Allen sharpened my ability to collaborate across military and civilian teams while navigating complex client needs with flexibility and clarity.
Instructional Designer & College Instructor 2020 – 2023
I design instructional experiences that move the needle — not just check boxes. Whether teaching in the college classroom or developing digital content, I focus on aligning learning with performance outcomes. Using tools like Storyline 360, Rise, Camtasia, and adult learning principles, I create training that supports retention, application, and engagement.
Program Manager & Training Manager, U.S. Marine Corps 1991 – 2020
During my 29-year Marine Corps career, I led global teams, built training programs from the ground up, and evaluated performance at the enterprise level. From instructing in the field to managing multimillion-dollar budgets, I focused on building systems that produced results. I earned my PMP® certification during this time and continue to apply that disciplined, mission-first mindset to every challenge.

Personal
My wife and I were married in beautiful Okinawa, Japan, in 2003 and have lived in all four corners of the globe since then. We have one son who is a straight-A student and a couple of Labradoodles that like to keep us on our toes. When I have a little downtime, I play guitar; my favorites are the old-time acoustic blues players.
